First, there’s this. Then there’s this.
Before you start wondering if something’s wrong with your browser, let me give you a little context via this article on Inq7.net.
Message to the opposition youth group: if you announce to the world that you are launching an anti-GMA website, please make sure you at least have a splash page.

UPDATE: Apparently, Inq7.net got the link wrong. The correct link can be found here.
If you’re going to launch a website, at least make sure the papers get the link right.
A lot.
As I watch the coverage of ANC about the stand-off in Fort Bonifacio, I am disturbed at how “People Power” is bandied around by the opposition and its proponents in the past when the country’s problems haven’t changed since 1986. The gap between rich and poor has grown bigger. Corruption still permeates in every sector from the communities, to the private sector and up to the highest echelons of government. Different groups encourage people to go to the streets and protest without offering any real alternatives for change. The only things that have changed are the personalities involved.
We kicked out a dictator, only to put his offspring back in power. We almost recovered his ill-gotten wealth, with the leaderhip chickening out at the last minute. The poor elects a leader who claimed to be one of them only to be betrayed by his and his cronies’ unscrupulous activities. What’s even worse is that the people who brought him to power seem too blind to see these facts. He’s replaced by his VP who is no better.
Our one brief shining moment has gone to waste. Classic example of ningas cogon. We’re always eager to start things but never follow through. How sure are the people clamoring for PGMAs resignation that they can make these changes when these are the same people who are part of the problem anyway!?
Cooler and more sensible heads need to intervene. Another People Power isn’t going to make these problems go away. We need to get our act together and work hard to make our dream of a better Philippines a reality.
